One Of The Boys: Tailoring Processes
Finished Garment:
Using a boxy silhouette, I created the jacket to reflect the idea of a woman wearing a mans coat. the dropped shoulders give the jacket an oversized feel while the cut of the body shows the female silhouette. The oversized brown leather collar adds a modern and unique style detail while the double button closure pays tribute to classic tailoring.

One Of The Boys: Tailoring Processes
Design Work:
Taking inspirations from classic mens tailoring, I have created designs which fit the form of the female body but still reflect the sharp, smart, masculine concepts of mens tailoring. Style Details include pleats on shoulders, flap pockets, buttonholes on revers and two- piece sleeves. Collar shapes include tuxedo revers, squared revers and rounded shawl collars.

Ethereal: Applied Fashion Design
Design Work:
Key silhouettes of the trend included contemporary tailoring techniques such as shirts and tailored trousers. Tailored tops are paired with loose, flowing pleated skirts. Mismatched prints and contrasting colours bring in an element of fun and reflect the colours shown in the traditional aztec prints.
